What is the Salvation Army?

The aim of the Salvation Army in the Czech Republic is the physical, social, moral and spiritual support of people of all ages, based on Christian principles. The Salvation Army’s target group is all those who find themselves in a difficult situation, but also those who seek any spiritual help or support. The Salvation Army runs social facilities and community centres in 6 regions and 14 cities in the Czech Republic, providing more than 60 registered social services. Over a thousand disadvantaged people use their services every day. These primarily concern the homeless, vulnerable children, young people and families, seniors and people with addictions.

What is Salesforce used for?

“We use Salesforce for the fundraising department. We administer all the data from individual and corporate fundraising. We use it as a root system that connects with other applications such as various payment gateways, connecting to bank accounts or the email marketing program,” says Jakub Roun, the organization’s fundraiser.

Salesforce allows us to build a relationship with donors – to automatically thank them or send them confirmation about a donation, but it also helps us to process the data from our activities more efficiently and then to use them further.

“Thanks to Salesforce, we are now able to make records of and communicate with more than 40,000 donors and carry out nationwide campaigns such as Nocleženka (Night Shelter). All of this improves our care for donors and helps increase fundraising profits, thus allowing us to help as many vulnerable people as possible.
